Mountain Shadows is a centrally located community in northwest Colorado Springs and contains mostly semi custom and custom homes built in the foothills of Colorado Springs.

To get to Mountain Shadows homes from I-25 and Garden of the Gods, go west on Garden of the Gods, turn North on Centennial.   The neighborhood is directly to the west of Centennial bordered on the other side by the foothills. 

MOUNTAIN SHADOW

Single family homes in Mountain Shadows currently range in price from $255,000 to $995,000;   Townhomes range in price from $130,000 to $450,000 and the major complexes are:

  • Arbors at Mountain Shadows, HOA appx. $150.00 per month
  • Saddleback Ridge, HOA’s appx. $165.00 per month
  • Tuscany Villas, HOA’s around $225.00 per month
  • Villa at Mountain Shadows – Patio Homes  HOA’s around $230.00 per month

Mountain shadows townhomes 7 percent

The majority of the houses were built in the 1980’s and 1990s, and range from 2000 to 5500 square feet.    The styles vary from 2 story, to ranches, to bi-level homes.   Many of the homes offer panoramic views of the area and of Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. 

The schools for the area are:

  • Grade Schools are Trailblazer and Chipeta Elementary School.   Holmes in the Junior High and Coronado is the High School.   The school district is District 11.

Parks in the area are:

  • Ute Valley Park which includes over 342 acres and Blodgett  Peak Open Space which includes 167 acres.
  • Mountain Shadows Park is the main neighborhood park in the area.
