Are you already thinking about Spring? Planning some new home improvement projects? Thinking about
how to plant your garden? Wondering how to do xeriscaping? Plan on making the short trip to downtown Denver and enjoy the Colorado Garden and Home Show; it’s an amazing show with over 600 exhibitors in the 400,000 square feet Convention Center. The Theater schedule consists of 52 different offerings including Feng Shui Basics, Xeriscaping 101, Wine and Food Pairings, Pet Friendly Landscaping; and Vegetable and Herbs for Colorado. It’s really a great resource for Colorado and Colorado Springs home owners; and all of the seminars are FREE.
It is also benefits many different horticultural and related activities, and non-profit organizations throughout Colorado. There is a Cake decorating contest with 120 featured cakes which benefits The Children’s Hospital. At the end of the show, over 20 Rotary clubs deliver flowers to local nursing homes. There is also a Grant program used to fund tree and plant material purchases, school landscape improvements, community gardens, and educational and research programs with organizations throughout Colorado including Colorado Springs. And the show also supports college students with scholarships who are studying floriculture, horticultural science and business, nursery management, turf grass management, landscape design or landscape management.

The cost is $12.00 for adults.
Also, in conjunction with 9News, they are offering $2 off admission to attendees who present a non perishable can or box of food at the ticket window at the Convention Center. The food will then be distributed to local area food banks.
