Colorado Springs Festival of Lights

Where: Downtown Colorado Springs, at the corner of Tejon and St Vrain Street and will go south on Tejon to Vermijo Avenue, turn west to Cascade Avenue and go north to Kiowa Street
Annually bringing together some 80 entries and attracting crowds reaching over 100,000 individuals. Features many bands and floats, many of which are lighted. This year’s theme is “through the Eyes of a Child”. This traditional holiday event is now in it’s 24th years and delights thousands of children of all ages who line the streets to view the spectacular floats, bands, horse units and of course, Santa Claus.
Snowflakes and Smiles Parade in Manitou Springs

When: December 13th, 12 noon to 1:30pm

Where: Downtown Manitou Springs
It’s the annual “Snowflakes & Smiles” Christmas Parade. This is a real old fashioned parade with support from all of the area. The parade includes The El Paso County Mounted Unit Color Guard, horse drawn carts, Model A Ford Club, Antique Cars, area dog clubs & other organizations as well as our local families and merchants. Of course the star of the Parade, Santa Claus! Free cider and cookies will be served at the Town Clock after the Parade!
Gold Camp Christmas in Cripple Creek and Victor

- Where: Cripple Creek and Victor
Activities include the Christmas parade, shopping bazaar, hot chocolate & chestnuts roasting on an open fire, a caroling competition, lighted head frame tour, bonfire & carols, Butte Opera House Christmas production, Colorado Springs Chorale, decorated Christmas tree contest & auction, childrens’ activities and of course Santa & Mrs. Clause!

What has Santa Claus been doing at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo when the public wasn’t watching? Well, it seems the jolly old elf has been journeying to various Zoo exhibits to spread cheer and goodies to the animals. The making and giving of these enrichment treats, along with the mingling of Santa with the Zoo’s nighttime guests is the focus of “Winter WildLand – A Wildly Festive Experience,” the annual holiday celebration at the mountain Zoo. Santa will be visible throughout the Zoo, conversing with kids and adults, as he delivers enrichment items to many of the Zoo’s animals.”Winter WildLand – A Wildly Festive Experience” is Cheyenne Mountain Zoo’s reinvention of its traditional holiday light celebration, now in its 18th year.
A Classic Broadmoor Christmas

The family show features Academy Award winning singer Maureen McGovern along with Colorado favorite and Emmy Award winning performer Jim Salestrom, joined by Ken Miller and select members of The Broadmoor Pops Orchestra. Holiday Light Extravaganza on the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk:
Holiday Light Extravangaza at Pueblo
- November 28th at 5:00pm
- Where: Pueblo’s Riverwalk
Come see the Riverwalk beautifully illuminated with holiday lights and displays, sip a cup of hot chocolate, listen to a variety of festive live musical entertainment groups sing carols or ride the boats to tour the festively decorated channel. NORAD will be on hand to update the crowd on Santa Claus’ journey as his much anticipated arrival at the Riverwalk draws near. The grand finale of the evening is a stunning fireworks show over Lake Elizabeth.
